Mexican-American Footwear Designer and Educator
I am a footwear and industrial designer focused on creating performance and lifestyle product through storytelling, cultural perspective, and consumer insight. I’m an alumnus of San José State University’s Industrial Design program and the Pensole Lewis Footwear Design program, where I developed a foundation in concept development, 3D design, and product thinking.
Growing up in Selma, a small town in California’s Central Valley, shaped my perspective and continues to influence my work. I aim to represent my community through design while creating product that feels authentic, relevant, and meaningful to the people it’s made for.
My experience spans footwear design, digital and physical product development, and graphic design, supported by a strong understanding of modern 3D workflows and visual storytelling. I bring additional experience in visual merchandising, photography, and marketing, allowing me to approach design with a broader, consumer-focused mindset.
Beyond design, I’m passionate about mentorship and education, and I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned to help others build confidence in their creative paths.
